The fight over the Democratic nomination is getting more interesting, as well as predictable. It looks like Obama has sealed a victory with his big win in N.C. (I went to a post-primary party expecting him to show up, but he never came) and it is now up to those superdelegates to push him through. I sure hope they do it, but you know how those political people are. I have to admit, however, that I am losing confidence in Obama's ability to beat McCain. Obama, while certainly charismatic, talks a lot about change and says relatively little when he does. I trust the guy when he says that he is honest and will bring change to the country. I think he will try. I just wonder if he will be able to do battle with the assholes who run Washington. The corporate big shots. The Washington insiders. Many of the Dems who voted for Hillary favor McCain in this regard. Republicans will vote overwhelmingly for him (though many of those idiots once called him a "closet liberal"). It'll be a compelling match-up nonetheless, and I hope that I will have difficulty choosing between the candidates because I like them both rather than having to go through what I did in 2004 ("I have choose between these two buffoons?").
